At 256 Pearl Roots Alliance Canada (PRAC), we believe that culture is the heartbeat of a community.
As Ugandans living in Canada, many of us are raising children who are growing up far from their ancestral homeland. While this brings opportunities, it also poses the risk of losing touch with our cultural identity. PRAC is committed to ensuring that future generations remain deeply connected to their Ugandan roots.
Through festivals, storytelling, traditional music and dance, and language preservation programs, we provide platforms where young Ugandan-Canadians can celebrate who they are. These cultural connections not only foster pride but also strengthen family bonds and community belonging.
Culture is not just about the past – it’s about creating a future that values diversity, heritage, and identity. At PRAC, we proudly say: “To know where we are going, we must first know where we come from.”
???? Join us in our cultural initiatives and let’s keep Uganda’s heritage alive, wherever we are.
